Are Your Circuits About to Get Fried?

Hi Friend,

The past few weeks have been intense, in both my work life and my personal life.

And when I say “intense,” what I really mean is INSANE. Batsh*t crazy.

On one particular afternoon, my circuits were completely fried after a series of unfortunate events piled on top of each other, one after another. How did I know my circuits were fried?

Anger.

I was enraged. At everything, at everyone, and at nothing and no one in particular.

I had lost what Kim Krans calls “The Thread.”

Here’s how she describes it:

“When we connect to the energy of The Thread … we strike the deepest vein in the body. Our whole being responds to its tug. Meaning is pumped through our bloodstream. Our mind and spirits are lifted. We remember who we are and what we came into this world to do.”

“The Thread” is my only hope for being a functioning human being, a mother, and a coach/guide to my clients, and I had lost it. And for the life of me, I couldn’t remember how to find it again.

So I did the only thing that works when I’m disconnected from my center— The Thread that is my connection to myself.

I breathed.

Like, really breathed. I breathed in from the soles of my feet to the tallest hair on my head. I let that breath out. I unclenched my jaw. Brought oxygen to my twisted stomach. Rolled my tired shoulders back, opening my chest and lifting up my collarbone.

I became queenly in my breathing and stretching.

And suddenly, half of the stuff I had been so angry and frustrated about looked small and silly. I could see clearly what needed to be done and said, and what didn’t.

Your thought experiment this week is to use breath to find your way back to your deepest source, to The Thread of energy at your center.

I know it sounds too good to be true, but your breath has everything you need—even on your worst day.

Shine on, my friend.B
